Many things can happen unexpectedly due to letting other responsibilities weigh one down and take over. Something that you think would never happen to you…but when not paying full attention…it can happen….putting on too many pounds while focusing on everyone and everything else, but yourself as time moves on.

Unfortunately, I let that happen to me from 2005 until 2013. I put on too many pounds while taking care of my elderly parents 24/7 and along with my two little children at the time. Thus, becoming overweight and out of shape then, I wasn’t the same, healthy Kate anymore. I got injured snow skiing too as a result of the weight gain and being out of shape. That more than likely happened because of all the extra weight and lack of strength.

Finally, in 2011 and in 2012 I reached out to two different orthopedic doctors for help. Unfortunately, I did not have any success.

Then in January 2013 I caught Doug Gibson and Sensible Fitness on our local PBS Station one weekend. The client’s story was a major inspiration to me. So, that week I contacted Sensible Fitness. That was my new beginning.

I count my blessings for finding the best trainer Doug Gibson to help me get my mobility and strength back again. I have come a long way since January 2013. Determination and direction is all it takes. I feel fantastic.

Doug and Sensible Fitness helped me get my mobility back by picking out the best specific exercises for my needs. The excruciating pain that I had from my hip to my knee gradually went away as I worked very hard on building up my strength through their physical fitness training expertise, direction, and motivation.

I focused on healthier eating every day and because of all of that I accomplished my goal in less than one year. I went from a size 16 to a 0 and I am now running in 10K Races. I feel like “me” again.

Sensible Fitness is the best of the best on a mission to help others succeed! I am one example!

If I can do it by changing my way of living to a healthier way, than anyone out there can do it. Life is too short. Carpe Diem! Seize the day! Take care of yourself, your body, mind and spirit first, and then take care of others. Those are the best “words of wisdom” that I can share.

Yesterdays are behind you. You will never have that day again. Today is a new day. Just do it! Live healthy!
